Welcome!
Welcome to my interactive web site! I have been in the wedding industry for 27 years and have played at least 2500 weddings. This gives me a fascinating perspective, much of it poignant, memorable and hilarious.
Some weddings are unusual, such as transgender, same sex, cult, nudist or on horseback. I've played a Lord of the Rings wedding that was conducted in Elvish. Some are lavish and others are fleeting, such as one where a communist defector married at the airport. Some have been interrupted by accident (bride fell and broke leg on step to altar), one came to her wedding in an ambulance escorted by a nurse holding her IV. The tragic ones involved alcohol.
Did you know playing at the Columbia Tower Club involves 48 elevator rides to set up and break down? And there is a wonderful tunnel system under the streets to get from the load zone to inside the Fairmont Hotel in Seattle.
My harp has a $50,000 replacement value with over $10,000 of 23 kt. gold leaf. It is very delicate, yet I move it myself, often many times a day. I have a unique profession, a unique place in the community and a unique perspective to share. I would like to be enriched by hearing from you as well!

March 19, 2011 Trisha Weber Wedding
The most lovely setting for a wedding at the Blue Ribbon Center on Lake Union, right on the water! Trisha's colors were chocolate brown and aqua...an unusual pairing, but so perfect for a March wedding. I met Trisha and her mom at the Seattle Wedding Show. Her mom snapped a picture of us signing the contract. And here we are!!

Sharon Serrano at St. Pius X, Mountlake Terrace
Sharon, it's hard to believe that I met you only last week at the Seattle Wedding Show. Today I played harp at your beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Pius X, with canters Gabriella and Miguel. While the service was in Spanish, it was easy to follow the sacred meaning as Father Jose performed your wedding Mass. During the Sign of Peace your family and friends really shared your joy and tenderness! So many hugs and embraces and tears! This was a celebration of love felt by all who were lucky to be a part of your special day!

Seattle Wedding Show 2011 First Day
Seattle Wedding Show first day!! Approx. 5,000 visitors...among them Denise Farrer. I played for the wedding of Denise and Tony in July of 1993! Tony was a very tall man who had long hair, a long moustache, many tattoes, piercings, wore chains and tall leather boots when he arrived at my house for the consult. He was a bit scary. I was delighted to find Tony has the sweetest and most charming personality. Tony and Denise, congrats on your 17 years of marriage!!

Dec. 20th wedding Tracy Castle Amanda and Kyle
Beautiful Tracy Castle, a winter fairy tale...Rev. Darrel Frye performed this succinct but lovely service for Amanda and Kyle. One line of his homily, a quote from Mason Williams, I thought was noteworthy.
Love is a journey.
The moment it begins,
The journey's all there is,
No matter where it ends.
It's always an honor to play at Tracy Castle. When my father was alive he would enjoy the drive and the show. Bart Tracy always set out a chair for my father and treated him as a special guest. We must have attented 20 or more weddings together at Tracy Castle. Very special memories!
Vialiant Charger at Tracy Castle
This is the famous "Valiant Charger" harpmobile extraordinaire! Since 1993 "Valiant" has never let me down. Loaded with studded snow tires and 4 wheel drive, equipped with a battery pack portable sound system, we'll arrive on time and in style. "Valiant" saved my life one snowy New Years Eve when I was playing on the far side of Preston returning from a party on an icy dirt road. We slipped into a ditch. Without cell phone service, I was facing a midnight 2 mile walk in sub freezing tempuratures. Then I remembered...we have 4 wheel drive!!! Valiant and I followed the icy creek bed until we could climb back onto the road. It was a very slow safe drive home, at about 2 miles an hour!

Forest Lawn Funeral Holiday Service Dec. 5, 2010
This afternoon I played for the Holiday Service for Forest Lawn Funeral Home. I've been a part of their tradition for 15 years. Stephan Locklear read poems and provided music and humor. When people are grieving, this is one party to attend! There is understanding, sharing and tips on surviving the season. The service was followed by an amazing dessert buffet!!
Marguerite's Funeral 12/4/10
Here is the beautiful chapel at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor where I played the funeral service of Marguerite Gotti. Even more beautiful were the ground on the hillside overlooking Puget Sound and Vashon Island with Mt. Rainier magestically towering over this panorama. Gerry Dryer and his associates were helpful and gracious. Thanks to the Gotti family for letting me be a part of the celebration of Marguerite's life!!

Rachel at City Centre Mall
My student Rachel performed with me at the first of the City Centre Mall Holiday gigs. She was a polished professional. Thanks Rachel...especially for performing the piece you wrote in honor of my two German Shepherds, Greta and Lestat!
